   I imagine what with the massive outside world you have to document living as you do somewhere in China, it must be nice to occasionally look within.

   true, it was overwhelming at times, but now, back in the west, i find myself looking back there quite often. it’ll be interesting to see what seeds were planted.

   Hi Hugo, I found your photos through flickr and ended up here. I recently spent a year in China and your pics remind me well of my life there. This bedroom looks EXACTLY like mine from the curtains down to the sheets. Reminds me too well. I travelled to several cities though and never saw a zoo. The whole place was like a zoo!
   I did come away with some different ideas – I live much more simply now and seem to have lost my urge to buy things and my brand loyalty is gone too. I miss China sometimes despite how difficult it was for me and how dirty and dangerous it was.
